Miriam Kaiser is a Slovak violinist, composer and singer
contemporary classical, songwriter, world music
Miriam creates varied, colourful, and stylish music that appeals to a wide range of listeners. Her works are imaginative, play- ful pieces- brimming with imagery and poetry- tied together by her voice. Her expresion and musical language combines elegance, beauty, and modern experimental music with inspired folk melodies. In recent years, looping has becom eanesential part of Miriam‘s music. Using samples from her live performances, Miriam layers tracks to maintain the illusion of much larger string ensemble. All without sacrificing the simple, ethereal quality of her work.
Two years since Miriam’s last album Dance of Strings she is releasing her forth album titled Burning tear.
This spirited collection of songs and instrumental compositions, wrapped in beautiful string arrangements, was recorded at home by string quartet and later added with winds including clarinet, bassoon, flute and even lute. The postproduction and subtle electronic effects were again mastered by violinist, arranger and music producer Milan Adamec.
The titles of Miriam’s songs, such as Burning tear, Scorching furnace, Reigniting passion, Make the heart sing, express deep emotions which, in her own words, should revive a heart that has grown stiff and cold in the routines of the mundane life. The new album is a very palatable fusion of modern classical music, world music, song-writing and pop.

Reviews
“Violinist Miriam Kaiser pours a large variety of musical ornaments and styles normaly heard in Slovakia into a clear and very special musical language that has the power to speak to various generations at the same time. Unlike many violinists more famoust than she, Miriam has not chosen the path of cheap efects. Her artistic invention is well balanced with humility, restraint and refined taste.”

"For me as well it was a huge surprise when I get download link. I just can say, it’s an outstanding record you never know where it might lend you. It goes to chamber, folk, It had some jazzy inputs, then it goes back to a kind of minimal music. It’s full of energy and tension, it’s such an intelligent music. It’s really a big big joy to listen to records like this."

"Miriam Kaiser balances right on the edge of classical music with touches of Slovak folklore and new Age and we must say at once that she does that with brilliance. In addition, her singing is to a good taste, all dreamy and yet without a hint of any false pretence. To a certain degree, Miriam is a musical romantic. Her very own text well complement her music and avoid all clichés. The sound of her album is similarly beyond reproach."
